From September 14 to 16, 2024, the Gen:48 AI Film Contest will enter its third round. This special competition challenges filmmakers worldwide to produce a short film of one to four minutes in length within just 48 hours – completely remotely and with a clear focus on the use of artificial intelligence.
What is Gen:48?
Teams of up to three people have two days to realize their visions with the help of state-of-the-art AI technologies. The competition offers both experienced filmmakers and new talents the opportunity to experiment creatively and explore innovative cinematic paths.
Prices and procedure
The theme of the competition will be announced at the beginning. The main winner will receive 5,000 US dollars, 1,000,000 runway credits and one year’s access to Epidemic Sound’s Commercial Plan. In addition, the winning film will be screened at the Runway AI Film Festival. The runners-up and the winner of the People’s Choice Award can also look forward to valuable prizes.
