GEN:48 participants will receive 300,000 credits and additional production resources from Runway to equip them with the latest film technology. These tools should enable the teams to incorporate innovative techniques into their films. This approach not only allows filmmakers to push the boundaries of traditional storytelling, but also paves the way to play around with this young technology.
The structure of the competition ensures a fair and comprehensive evaluation process that combines public voting with evaluations by a jury of runway experts. The finalists will be presented on the GEN:48 website, where the public can take part in the vote. In addition to the “People’s Choice Award” and the runners-up, the prestigious “Grand Prix” is awarded by the runway jury. Winners will receive substantial prizes, including $5,000 USD, 1 million runway credits, a one-year subscription to Epidemic Sound and the opportunity to screen their films at the AI International Film Festival in New York City and Los Angeles.
